An artwork that fuses the traditional technique of Kanazawa metal leaf with cutting-edge laser processing. Ultrafine gold and platinum leaf—just one ten-thousandth of a millimeter thick—are intricately patterned using ultra-short pulse lasers, allowing light to pass through from behind and revealing a new dimension of beauty in the shadowed depths of the foil. The title of “dawn” evokes not only a celestial sunrise but also a desire to open a new chapter in the history of traditional craftsmanship.

金沢箔の伝統技法と最先端のレーザー加工技術を融合させたアートワーク。一万分の一ミリという極薄の金箔やプラチナ箔に、超短パルスレーザーで精緻なメッシュ加工を施し、裏側から透過する光によって、陰影に沈む箔の新たな美しさを引き出している。夜明けを意味するタイトルには、天体の黎明を想起させる光景とともに、伝統工芸の歴史に新たな章を切り拓くという意志が重ねられている。
