Tanegashima, an isolated island with a space center, stands as the largest rocket launch site in Japan. This artwork, resembling a giant planet, graces the wall of the Minami-Tane High School building, which closed its doors in 2010. The ring of light, simulating the Fresnel effect, intricately weaves with the weathered patterns on the concrete wall, giving rise to a novel cosmic landscape within the framework of a time-tested architecture.
